ROBBERY INCIDENT INSPIRES STUDENTS TO BUILD DRONE.

Creativity, they say, is the mother of all inventions. This is the case of four final year students of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri as they recently built a surveillance drone for the institution.

The students, Ekeh Isidore, Kizito Onyema, Aloysius Nwokedike and John Kennedy Kalu submitted the drone as their final year project to the department of Electrical Electronics Engineering, FUTO.

However, the reason behind this project is the continuous robbery incidents on their campus.
One of these students, Kizito Onyema stated on his Facebook page that the idea was developed as a result of theft cases and security challenges they were facing on campus and in their hostel.
