Academic activities were grounded on Friday, November 27, 2017 at the Micheal Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike when teaching and non teaching staff of the school trooped to the street to stage a peaceful protest.
We reliably gathered that, staffers were being owed a back log of salaries and percentage since 2015. They accused the Government of only paying 65 to 80% of their salaries since 2015.
The warring workers have however threatened to go on an indefinite down tool if their demand is not treated as urgent.
