Osunlola committed suicide after he was downgraded from a full time lecturer to a contract staff of the Institution. After his downgrade, he started exhibiting strange behavior which led to an intervention by one of his colleagues who took him for counseling.
He was said to have gone back to his family in Ibadan, Oyo State capital where he committed the forbidden act. Osunlola who allegedly locked himself in his room till daybreak kept family members worried. They had to break the door after knocking for hours without any response. We learnt it was too late by the time they brought down the door as his corpse was met dangling in his room.
Until his death, he was a lecturer at the department Crop Production, Kwara State University.
