We Nasarawa Poly students are seeking justice and fairness

There was so much tension and commotion on campus today as our peaceful protest went south when Policemen started throwing teargas and shooting at us. Two of our students were shot in the process. While one died on the spot, the other is currently being hospitalised and all we can do is hope and pray he survives.

The main reason for our protest in the first instance is as a result of what happened to a student of ours from the department of Accountancy (ND2) who got hit by a vehicle that was passing a one-way route. Students had decided this morning to come out to protest peacefully, asking the Government to install speed bumps on the road; before the heartless policemen came and sabotaged the whole thing.
