201 students from the University of Ibadan are set to graduate with 1st class degrees. It turns out that, these students just constitute 2.8% of the total 7,577 students who will be graduating from the oldest tertiary institution in Nigeria.
A percentage of 24.3 will be awarded 2nd class upper degrees while a staggering 40.1% will be 2nd class lower degree holders and a lesser 11% with third class and pass degrees. These students will all receive their honour at the university's convocation ceremony which is set to hold sometime in November.
