During the week, tragedy struck in OOU campus as a certain Petemowo Abiodun who happens to be a third year student of the University got drowned in the river.
VERSITY411 gathered that Abiodun was walking along the road when he stumbled upon his friends who were on their way to swim at the river bank. They had been warned by an aged woman who lives close to the river not to go near it but apparently, they turned deaf ears.
As soon as Abiodun drowned, the other students who were at the river bank with him; ran into campus to report what had happened, but the response team searched in futility.
His body was later seen afloat the river few days later. What a sad time for students of Ago Iwoye (OOU), may his soul RIP
