At 10am this morning, prospective youth corps members were seated at the Ajose lecture theatre in Obafemi Awolowo university in response to the call from the DSA few days ago.
Attendees were made to endure one hour; thirty minutes of do's and don't's from the spokesman of the DSA.
*BRIEFING OF THE MEETING*
The service is for 12 months. If you are more than 30 years of age, you won't be allowed to go for service.
Agriculture, rural health, education are where you'll be posted to, u can't be posted to Oil and Gas,. Those with first class will be posted to higher institutions as lecturers.
For any event, you must always wear your uniform. Lawyers can serve before or after law school. Anywhere you go, please always go with your ID CARD. If you wear the wrong uniform, it'll be seized and you'll be punished. Don't bring your automobile(cars) to the NYSC camp.
Report to the camp on the day indicated on your call up letter, after your orientation, you are not allowed to go home.
During the service year you must show dedication, honesty and loyalty in your place of work, you must always do what you are supposed to do.
Your monthly allowance is #19,800, you must sign the voucher within 10 days for this to be granted to you. Your employer can also give you a minimum of #5,000. If you want to go for graduation, you must apply for 7 days leave and 21 days leave for terminal leave from your employer.
If you want to go to Jerusalem or Hajj, apply for leave too. If you go home and you fall sick, you must go to the NYSC in that state(home state) and inform them. If you are away for more than 3 months i.e. absent , you will have to repeat the service year.
When you come in, you are not allowed to change your D.O.B.. don't input wrong details on the internet as you might not be able to alter it again.
