The students of Ekiti state university college of medicine have been suspended from all academic activities and were also ordered to vacate the medical student hostel by 12noon on the 26th of September 2016.
This is as a result of the peaceful protest the students held on the 15th of September 2016 after a 200% increase in school fees was announced. The part 4 and 5 school fees were initially #162,250 but now over #350,000.
This is their 1st protest since 7yrs of commencement of Medicine & Surgery as a course in EKSU. While battling accreditation to move forward their pioneer set who are stucked in 400L after 7years, the school doesnt mind wasting their time even more for hiking their school fee by 200%. We wonder if they should have kept quiet instead.
