MINISTER OF EDUCATION VOWS TO IMPROVE STANDARD OF EDUCATION


Minister of State for Education, Prof. Anthony Anwukah, has assured Nigerans that he will do everything within his power to improve standard of education in the country.

The minister made this speech in Imo, during a reception held in his honour. He expressed that the improvement of Nigeria's primary, secondary, polytechnic teacher education is the way to achieve the change promised byPresident Mohammadu Buhari.

According to Vanguard reports, Anwukah promised to make this aspect of Nigerian education responsive and focus-driven in line with the challenges of the 21st century. He also called on all concerned to join hands together to help him achieve this goal and to take advantage of the opportunity for change provided by the president.

Mr. Eze Madumere, deputy Governor of Imo State stated that the minister was instrumental to the success of the free education from primary to tertiary level enjoyed in Imo State by indigenes and non-indigenes.

He appealed to the minister to replicate this progress on a national level
