EBSU EXPELS 3000 STUDENTS

Ebonyi State University (EBSU), Abakaliki, has expelled 3000 for their inability to graduate within schedule.

According to Leadership reports, registrar of the institution, Mr. Sam Egwu, signed a release which showed that the affected students are those who gained admission into the Work and Study Programme (WASP) from year 2000- 2006 and are yet to graduate.

The affected students, in response, has accused the university of frustrating the students. They referred to the action taken as unfortunate, uncalled for and urged the state governor.

The expelled students, yesterday, protested the expulsion and stated that on several occasions, some prominent students of the programme had threatened to drag the institution to court which prompted them to compute and issue results to them while others are left to their fate.
