A total of 2,675 Undergraduate and 1,657 Post Graduate students will bag various degrees during the 27th Convocation ceremony of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA whose grand finale comes up on Saturday, November 21, 2015.
Out of the lot 28 earned first class degrees, 807 got second class (Upper Division), while 1,324 finished in the lower division of second class. 409 graduated with third class and 47 bagged with pass. Obakpolor, Osakpolor Eki of the Department of Physics emerged the Best Graduating Student with a cumulative GPA of 4.84.
Professor Olaniyi said two major project, the 1,000 Seater Capacity Lecture Theatre and the School of Sciences Phase III will be commissioned during the course of the convocation.
