The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) will host the 2016/2017 editions of the National Youth Games (NYG), the Director-General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Alhassan Yakmut , has said.
Yakmut said this in Abuja while briefing newsmen about Team Nigeria’s preparation for the 2016 Olympics, The News Nigeria reports. According to him, the NSC had already reached an agreement with UNILORIN about the NYG.
Cross Rivers State emerged the overall winner of the debut NYG held in Abuja in 2013. Akwa Ibom and Delta state representatives settled for first-runner-up and second-runner-up positions respectively.
