After the inauguration of new SUG EXCO'S for the University of Calabar , the incumbent SUG president Comrade Ekpo Tete Okon declared fasting and praying which he said will take place every first Saturday of every month.
The first fasting and prayer was conducted on the 1st of August, in his own words ".....this fasting and praying is not only for the SUG EXCO'S but for all malabites and malabresses, and the reason is to dedicate ourselves and all our activities for the month to Almighty God...."
The SUG president also uses this medium to invite malabites and malabresses to the next fasting and praying that will be coming up on 5th of September.
